brian mac ian



Brian Mac Ian is a professional actor and voice-over talent with specialized training in movement and voice who works in the Washington DC Metro area. He is also a singer, musician, acting coach, director and poet. He has played (and continues to play) many different stage, television, film and industrial roles. Brian has performed parts ranging from Uncle Vanya, to a Balinese king, police hero for America's Most Wanted and Ulysses S. Grant for Historic Strolls of Washington.

He has a BA in Theatre and Music ( minor in Writing and Literature) from Naropa University where he studied with Meredith Monk, Samuel Avital, Lee Worley and other renowned artists. He has also trained with professional opera tenor and recording artist Gylchris Sprauve and earned a BS in Marketing and minor in Communications from the University of Mobile. He also has a certificate in the Principles & Practices of Performance Improvement from the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) .

Brian has served on the board of directors for both the Actors' Center of Washington and Momentum Dance Theatre. He received a Helen Hayes Nomination for Best Sound Design for a Resident Production for his work on The Fall of the House of Usher (Fraudulent Productions). Brian has also worked as a host, announcer and DJ for various radio stations and is currently a TV host for Fairfax Public Access Cable Channel 10.
